It's Been Awhile!

Wow, I am wayy behind on posting! I need to do better:)

We had a wonderful thanksgiving! Both my husband's family and my family were all at our house for Thanksgiving. I am very good at delegating so all we ended up having to fix was the turkey and rolls. My hubby was in charge of the turkey (he fried it, it was perfect) I was in charge of the rolls. Well, lets just say I should have delegated those too because I burnt them to a crisp! UGH!! Oh well, everyone was full and happy:)

Me, my mom, my best friend, and my two sisters braved the masses and went shopping Friday. I woke up at 5am to head to Wal-Mart, the one thing I needed was not even on sale! Typical....I am completely done with the kids and now on to the rest of the family. I think from now on I want to just go out on black Friday and watch people~It amazes me what you see people wearing at 5am in a wal-mart, it was great!!

Saturday was just the best day ever! My Gamecocks pulled off a victory against the Clemsux Tigers (oh how sweet it is) ... As we all say "there's always next year" GO COCKS!!

After The game we went to the tree farm and picked out our Christmas Tree. We started our hunting off by trying to find the most perfect, less than 8ft. tall tree...

We ended up with the fattest most perfect tree on the farm!!

They had several cute little things for us to do while we were there. They had a hayride and a little train set up for the kids....My little angels were having a blast!

My hottie of a husband supervised the train ride...He swears he wasn't posing, you be the judge!!

Bailey's favorite part of the tree farm was making a new friend:

The finished product

It literally takes up half of our living room and you have to squeeze between the tree and wall to get to the hallway...But isn't it gorgeous?!? It looks like I have no ornaments on it because of it's hugeness! haha

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

  1. That is a beautiful tree. Your kids look super cute on the hayride.

Haha, I bet there are some interesting wardrobes at 5am in a Walmart. Have you ever seen the website www.peopleofwalmart.com? It can be pretty entertaining!

  2. Nice work with the tree.

After last year's unseasonable warmth, the day of our Christmas tree finding and chopping was a windy, cold, snow-blower.

At least it puts one in the holiday mood.
